A recent feature on the University of Oregon School of Law website highlighted the legal legacy of Goldberg Jones attorney Chance Fewel. Chance and his father both attended the University of Oregon School of law and went on to fulfilling legal careers. The article illuminates how Chance followed in his father’s footsteps, but was motivated by a different driving force. Chance was driven to become an attorney by his desire to “be something rather than do something.”

What Chance has become is a valued member of the Goldberg Jones team. His work ethic and attention to detail have helped hundreds of men in the Portland area protect their rights as fathers and their relationship with their kids. Clients often describe Chance as compassionate, direct, and decisive.

In the article Chance sums up his view on being an attorney by quoting a memorable professor of his, Maury Holland, “Being a lawyer is nothing more than being a professional problem solver. I like to think that’s what I do.”

We are proud to count Chance among the Goldberg Jones ranks and it comes as no surprise that the University of Oregon School of Law took notice of this fine family law attorney and problem solver.
