Carrie Majors
Divorce & Family Law Attorney
If you’re looking for a divorce attorney to provide both strong advocacy and compassionate guidance, Carrie Majors is here to help. She brings 20-plus years of legal experience across multiple fields to her practice.
Before transitioning to family law full-time, Carrie spent many years representing institutional clients in the financial services industry.
Her work with creditors and real estate investors in foreclosures and bankruptcy, and litigating cases in both state and federal court, helped her develop a deep understanding of complex legal and financial matters, which makes her a valuable resource and ally for her clients.
Though the job was challenging and exciting, Carrie missed the human element of practicing law.
“I’m drawn to family law because it is an area where, as a lawyer, I can directly help people,” she says. “After speaking with people in distress while representing institutional creditor clients, I feel equipped to be empathetic but realistic with individuals in family law. Family law touches many aspects of a client's life. While the legal process can be similar each time, the client's goals differ as they process not only emotions, but the realities and fluctuations in their life.”
A music enthusiast with a fondness for seeing rock bands in small venues, Carrie will try any type of music once. Her kids even turned her on to a few European metal bands.
On the more subdued end of the spectrum, she also spends much of her non-work time in the garden, though she is as fierce about protecting her prized vegetables and dahlias from rabbits as she is about fighting for her clients in court. Carrie finds a source of joy and optimism in gardening. She says, “They say that to garden means that you have hope for the future.”
